The company was established in 2014 by American Christopher Jannou, who saw an opportunity to service several underdeveloped niches in commercial and hospitality development throughout Africa. Our focus is on value hospitality products (hotels, long- stay apartments, collaborative workspaces), mid-sized commercial centers ($5-10M) and other branded real estate categories where we have a competitive advantage.

In a short but dedicated span, Jannou has developed a strong pipeline of projects, along with a reputation for on-time delivery and execution across Zambia and Southern Africa. We continue to collaborate with pension funds, insurance groups, private equity and real estate investment trusts seeking above average, risk-adjusted returns and a partner with a record of successful execution.

Jannou Afrique has over 40,000 square meters in the acquisition, development, or construction stage, including ground-up development, value-add repositioning, and adaptive reuse.
